Shirley (Shelley’s Mom) is here for the weekend and she’s sleeping in the spare room with the computer, so I’ll have to shut it off at night. Expect the web site to be down alot this weekend.

Well that was easy. I have set up a chat server my machine at home. Mostly so Scott and I can chat, but you might want to check in to see if we’re in there. No need to choose a passord if you don’t want. I made it a free for all.

Today I decided to fool

Today I decided to fool around with PHP4. For those of you not “in the know”, it’s a scripting language for web sites. So, just for fun, I set up a little calendar application. I’ll be a little surprised if it ever gets used, but it’s worth a try. I’ll try to keep it up to date and Shelley says she might use it if she remembers how to get to it. Let me know if it’s useful at all. BTW, I have added it to the list of links over on the left too so you can get to easily.

Well, the competition in Edmonton

Tuesday, March 19th, 2002 by Ian

Well, the competition in Edmonton went well.
I’ll start with a bit of background. Dylan competes the three events: Trampoline, tumbling and Double Mini Trampoline. It’s obvious what trampoline and tumbling are, but the double mini was new to me. It’s much like vaulting, but they use a small trampoline instead of vaulting horse.
Anyway, Dylan placed fourth in trampoline and double mini. Very good! And no there weren’t 4 competitors, there were about 12. So he’s moving up.
That was the Sunday, on Saturday we went to West Edmonton Mall Waterpark (Is there anyhing else to do in Edmonton). Quinn had been looking forward to that for weeks. It was pretty nice. Shel and I could sit in the sun (even though it was -25C outside) and relax while the kids ran around doing their thing. It’s nice now that the kids don’t need CONSTANT supervision.

We’re off to Edmonton this

We’re off to Edmonton this afternoon (Friday). Tomorrow will be spent frolicing at the West Edmonton Mall Wave Pool and Sunday, Dylan has his third competition (The reason for the trip!)
I understand the folks have made it to New Zealand and are now enjoying the gruelling train trip they planned. I’d just like to be somewhere WARM! Next report will likely be Monday, as I’ll be suffering serious computer withdrawl by then.
