The Perpetual Weblog

I updated our family calendar to show what we will be doing in New Zealand, but only the stuff we need to keep track of. For example, from December 15th to the January 1st we will be staying at Scott and Leigh’s on the South Island and will just be taking day trips and perhaps one or two over-nighters. No need for more datial than that unless we have something booked. The rest of the time has most of the rough details, as we will need to have booked accomodations. I will be adding things as I feel they need to be recorded.

Shelley has also expressed an iterest in using this Blog as a journal while we are away….just in case anyone (Shirley, that means you) wants to track our comings and goings. Scott has a digital camera too, so we should be able to dump up the odd picture.

Dylan and Shelley just got home from the hospital. He needed three (THAT’S RIGHT, THREE) stitches. He’s fine.

I got home from work today and Dylan tried to eat his skateboard. Shelley took him to the hospital for stitches, but I think he’s fine. She’s worried “beacuse it’s on his face”! Personally, I think it’s the hooligans he’s hanging out with (Steve’s actually a good kid).

I think I’ve fixed Scott’s side to side scroll problem. (Let me know, eh).

Now Shelley wants me to “make it look less boring”. She wants to use it to chronicle our New Zealand trip so it needs to be up to her standards. Expect some changes and as always, let me know when it doesn’t work.

In an interesting little twist, Air Canada has cancelled our flight on the morning of December 10th to L.A. So we are now booked on an afternoon flight. That flys in the face of our L.A. plans since we wanted to have that day doing the “tourista” thing. So we’re trying to work something out with the Travel Agent. We may go late the previous day, or fly a different airline or something.

I’m just a little choked because we have ALREADY BOUGHT and PAID FOR the tickets. Not that they can really do anything about it, but it’s really a “bait and switch”. Piss me off.

I’ve been trying to fix the page as Scott requested, but there is something strange going on with the Shaw webserver. My changes aren’t being reflected on the website. I’ve checked that the appropriate files have been uploaded, they just don’t come down with the website. Sorry if it looks terrible for a little while, while I work this out…..
