California, Here We Come!

Monday, September 26th, 2005 by Vivian

Terry and I will leave tomorrow morning for a week in San Francisco. He has a conference. We’ll be staying in the Hotel Nikko, if anyone needs to reach us. I’ll have my computer and an internet connection there. Tim is staying home alone – scary!

Brady has begun a Flickr site, for posting photos. He went to Virginia Beach this past weekend; loaded some photos from that trip. If you have a Yahoo account, go to www.flickr.com [sign in…] and look for friends. In the screen name space, type: bw8932a

If you have no yahoo account, here is the direct link: Brady’s Flickr Site.

Dylan got a Job

Wednesday, September 21st, 2005 by Ian

You heard right. Dylan is now a proud Tim Horton’s employee. I think he was a little disappointed to find out that his first shift is for 7:00AM to 3:00PM Saturday! Hahahahahahaha!

Well, I think he’ll like having some money.

THAT MANY???

Tuesday, September 20th, 2005 by Scott

It was just announced that due to the mild spring lambing this year has resulted in there being 40,000,000 sheep in the country.

That is 100 for every man, woman or child.

Makes you think.

School Begins Again (Whew!)

Friday, September 9th, 2005 by Ian

The boys have started school again for the year….finally. Though I’m sure they don’t think of it that way!

Dylan is starting high school this year, going to Lord Beaverbrook HS. It’s pretty funny how worried he was about being froshed. There were rumours circulating that someone was going to bring out a paint gun with frozen pellets to hose down the grade 10s! I TOLD him it was rubbish, but he was pretty worried. Since then, he seems to have settled in just fine. No froshings, just school.

Quinn has started grade 5 this year. He’s pretty happy to have found himself with a really good teacher who happens to also be a friend of ours (and her daughter is a good friend of Dylan’s). He’s in a grade 5/6 split class this year.

The Weather in the sidebar

Thursday, September 1st, 2005 by Ian

You may have noticed that the weather display on the left side of the page is stuck, I know I did (just now)! It seems my source for weather information has stopped updating, so I’ll have to come up with a new solution. Sigh. Sorry.
[Edit Sept 9 :: Well, it’s almost working. Shaw cable is having some routing issues, so it still can’t update, but when the network problems clear up, it’ll work again]
