I went to my family doctor and he said…..wait for it…..NO RECTAL PROBE FOR ME! <\/p>\n

He said, “the general rule of thumb is start checking children 10 years before their parents were diagnosed”, so that would be 56 for me, but he post scripted that with, “but alot of doctor recommend colonoscopies starting at age 50”, but the post scripted that with, “but I’m more aggressive than that — we’ll start you at 40”. So, a couple years left before I have to go! Woo hoo! But Scott (turning 40 in 9 days) ought to be going in!<\/p>\n
What else….Ah! The “big” project at work is over. We officially closed it two weeks ago, and I told the manufacturers the news today (bang on schedule). Everything seems to have gone really well — nothing at all unusual was found in testing. It felt VERY anti-climactic to me. No fanfare. No gut wrenching. Just a fax sheet saying, “Go to Production”. Sigh. I think I’ll have a drink to celebrate anyway.<\/p>\n
I also bought myself some lock picks tonight on the net from — you guessed it — Lock-Picks.com<\/a>. I had made myself some crude tools just for playing around. Well, it’s ALL just for playing around, really. No, I’m not going to break into anything. I’d just like to know I CAN if I have to. They’re really cheap too, so who really cares. Everyone needs a hobby. \nThe hardest part about picking locks is making a torque wrench that works. It needs to be made of some kind of metal that has some “spring” to it. The little piece of brass I was using just got bent. It generally worked, but was a pain. If you’ve never looked into it, you can look the classic guide to lockpicking<\/a> if you’d like.
