It’s noontime, and the temperature is already 27C, the “humidex” is 34C. Forecast high for today: 33; for the rest of the week, 34. This is a reprise of the weather we had for most of the last week in June and the first week in July.<\/p>\n
We had a few days of clear, warm weather with low humidity and a cool breeze off the lake. Terry enjoyed that, and will have more of it in Wisconsin this week, if the forecasters can be believed. Terry’s departure was at 2am. He couldn’t sleep, even with our big new fan, and figured, “Why not drive now, sleep later?<\/p>\n
Brady works full-time at Blissymbolics Communication International (www.blissymbolics.org), located, strangely enough, in Bala. They have a government grant for someone to sort and electronically archive 30 years of files, and he is the lucky archivist. They give him all sorts of other stuff to do, and all the staff and clients are nice people. So he loves it.<\/p>\n
Tim works two part-time, nighttime jobs: stocking shelves at the grocery store and selling hotdogs outside The Kee.<\/p>\n
We’ve had nonstop company from last Wednesday through this morning: Ted & Cheryl on Wednesday; Joyce, Janine, and kids on Thursday; Roy on Friday; and my friend, Laurie, from Friday evening through this morning. Now it’s just the boys and I until the weekend, when my brother and my cousins from California arrive.<\/p>\n
