A wild summer so far (course, today IS the first day}…Viv and I took Brady up to Bala four days after he arrived back from Denmark. He’s been working there and living at the cottage since then.<\/p>\n
Viv and I went to D.C… 2 weeks ago….I had to do a Board Review course (need to write Boards every 7 years. This is the year), and Viv went to a distant relative’s wedding. No thrill sitting in a conference room 10 hrs a day for 4 days. We drove and I got to take some good old sign and old building pics. Some of these are up on my Flickr site.<\/p>\n
Back a week, and then Viv and Tim drove up to Bala in separate cars…they take 2 days, and got there Tuesday evening. Tim got his job back from last year; working in the Bala supermarket, which is now President’s Choice(yay).<\/p>\n
I’ll be going up on Saturday….but this year Tim’s girlfriend will be coming up with me. Amy, me and her cello. I can’t conceive of her sitting for 14 straight hours beside her boyfriend’s old man. She will be BORED! As usual, the cottage will be jammed.<\/p>\n
The next-door idiot has begun to build his cottage….its hilarious…his front door abuts his septic tank…he hasn’t got enough room!!! So he’s pushing for us to agree to a petition for sewers!! HA! Meanwhile, he dumps stuff on Fred Ketchen’s property on the other side. Meanwhile, the idiots on the OTHER side are renovating the old shack right next to our cottage. What a bizarre place!!<\/p>\n
Brady has caught a couple of pickerel in the River…they were stocked a few years ago…neat to see they’ve done well so far.<\/p>\n
