I don’t want to take too much time, so this will be a quick update:<\/p>\n
July 5th: Went to Nicki’s parents house in Chelmsford after spending the morning at th eLondon Science Museum (Shel and Dyl went to the Victoria and Albert).<\/p>\n
July 6:\u00c2\u00a0 Drove to York, via a couple stops in Leicester — Coleorton and Barrow-Upon-Soar.\u00c2\u00a0 My family came from this area.\u00c2\u00a0 We visited a couple grave yards here — 400 year old graves!\u00c2\u00a0 Arrived in York — a little late, so we just grabbed some food and went to bed.\u00c2\u00a0 NO BED BUGS!\u00c2\u00a0 Quinn is starting to heal..<\/p>\n
July 7:\u00c2\u00a0\u00c2\u00a0 Started the day walking to Yorkminster Cathedral…cool old place.\u00c2\u00a0 After a bit of a tour, Dylan, Quinn and I went up the tower then we all went below into the “Undercroft” — crypts.\u00c2\u00a0 Lots of neat old stuff!\u00c2\u00a0 Then we wandered around “The Shambles” and visited some shops.\u00c2\u00a0 We also visited Jorvik — a recreation of the Viking town on York.\u00c2\u00a0 Quinn bought a sword that we’ll have to ship home.<\/p>\n
July 8:\u00c2\u00a0 Did a few more little things in York\u00c2\u00a0 and went to “The Barley Hall” — A medival\u00c2\u00a0 building.\u00c2\u00a0 Then we drove to Edinburgh.\u00c2\u00a0 The place we’re staying is a castle — really!\u00c2\u00a0 Very cool B and B.\u00c2\u00a0 We could spend a couple hours just looking at the grounds around it!\u00c2\u00a0 After dinner (again, fairly late) in Linlithgow, we headed to bed.<\/p>\n
July 9 (Today):\u00c2\u00a0 We took the train into Edinburgh — again from Linlithgow — and have been walking the Royal mile.\u00c2\u00a0 Up to the Castle for a couple hours and now we’re walking back down towards the palace.<\/p>\n
That’s where we’re at now.\u00c2\u00a0 Kids and Shelley are waiting, so I’ll have to write more at another time.\u00c2\u00a0 No tragedies, accidents or illnesses!\u00c2\u00a0 Knock on wood.\u00c2\u00a0 The driving has been okay…I’m a little rusty but it’s not too hard.\u00c2\u00a0 More when we have time!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
