{"id":446,"date":"2008-07-18T07:07:15","date_gmt":"2008-07-18T14:07:15","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.squids.ca\/Blog\/?p=446"},"modified":"2008-07-18T07:07:15","modified_gmt":"2008-07-18T14:07:15","slug":"leaving-rome-for-florence","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blog.squids.ca\/?p=446","title":{"rendered":"Leaving Rome for Florence"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>We&#8217;re just waiting for the train in Rome to go to Florence.\u00c2\u00a0 I&#8217;ve really liked Rome, and so have the kids and Shel.\u00c2\u00a0 Great place.\u00c2\u00a0 Highly recommended.<\/p>\n<p>July 17:\u00c2\u00a0 We did the tour of the Vatican.\u00c2\u00a0 3.5 hours and we felt like we missed so much.\u00c2\u00a0 They say if you took 3 seconds at each item on exhibit in the museums, you would be there for 12 YEARS.\u00c2\u00a0 I completely believe it.\u00c2\u00a0 It seems the way most people deal with the heat here is to go in after lunch and come out again for dinner and walking in the afternoon.\u00c2\u00a0 That&#8217;s what we&#8217;ve been doing.\u00c2\u00a0 A brief afternoon nap and then back out as it cools off.<\/p>\n<p>Anyway, we have to head back to the train station.\u00c2\u00a0 It&#8217;s a zoo and we&#8217;re not ENTIRELY sure how long it will take to figure out where we have to go and what we have to do.\u00c2\u00a0 Talk to you all from Florence if we find a cafe!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>We&#8217;re just waiting for the train in Rome to go to Florence.\u00c2\u00a0 I&#8217;ve really liked Rome, and so have the kids and Shel.\u00c2\u00a0 Great place.\u00c2\u00a0 Highly recommended.
