{"id":572,"date":"2009-07-09T12:48:09","date_gmt":"2009-07-09T19:48:09","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.squids.ca\/Blog\/?p=572"},"modified":"2009-07-09T12:48:09","modified_gmt":"2009-07-09T19:48:09","slug":"padi-qualification","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blog.squids.ca\/?p=572","title":{"rendered":"PADI Qualification."},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I am now a PADI qualified, open water, scuba diver.<\/p>\n<p>Though the open water portion was just in Lake Chaparral &#8212; not very deep &#8212; the class was actually a lot of fun, and I can see myself actually GOING scuba diving now.\u00c2\u00a0 I had no trouble with it, though, like Scott has said, going really deep (100ft and deeper) would freak me out I think.\u00c2\u00a0 I&#8217;m qualified to 60 feet only, which doesn&#8217;t seem like it&#8217;d be too bad &#8212; though I&#8217;ve never been deeper than 25ft.<\/p>\n<p>The lessons were a Christmas gift from Shelley &#8212; I think so she would have an excuse to lie on the beach in a tropical place &#8212; so thanks!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I am now a PADI qualified, open water, scuba diver.
