The Squid is up….for now

The server had a bit of a power supply meltdown this afternoon. I have it back up because I happened to have the right power supply in my crawlspace (what ARE the chances?!), but it’s hobbling and roughly cobbled together. Hopefully in the next little while I’ll get it up in a more solid fashion….

The rough plumbing is done. No leaks or “waterfalls”. I’ll have to do some more finishing when we pick out the fixtures we want, but now I can put the floor back togther and get the wall out of the way. So there!  BTW, sweat soldering is easy!

…I went down the basement to get myself a midnight Oreo Cookie and the hot tub hot water tank was listing heavily. The bottom of it had finally rusted away one of the three legs, so it was fallng over. We knew it, too, would have to be replaced eventually, but why do these things…

I just started ripping out our rotten ensuite tiled shower tonight.  What a mess.  Where there should have been some nice white drywall there’s a rotten mush.  It looks like it was sealed in and vapour barriered pretty well though so I haven’t hit any rotten wood yet (knock on some other wood). My plan…
