The deck and Camping

The deck is coming along. Shelley doesn’t think it looks like much (well, I guess it doesn’t), but all the support for the lower deck is in place now I just need to tack it all together and actually “deck” it. That should go fairly fast once I get some time to do it. I’m still formulating my plan for the “upper” deck (It’s only a step up from the lower section). But nothing will get done this week because…..

We’re going camping for the next 5 days or so at “Writing on Stone” Provincial Park. It’s been hot here, and I think it will be even hotter out east in the “desert”. Should be fun.

I also wanted to make a note that the smoke from the forest fires (many many fires) has been blowing over Calgary for the last couple of days and we actually had “accumulations” of ash in the yard. It looked like light snow fall with a blood red sun. Very curious….
