Web Site Style

Posted on September 29, 2003 by Ian

Scott’s complaining that I haven’t updated the site in a while, and I’m home sick today, so I guess I’d better put SOMETHING on here…

Shelley was complaining that the white background layout was “very plain-jane”, and it was. So I tried the “brown” layout and, I don’t know about you, but I prefer the “plain” layout. What do you think?

I don’t know if you noticed, but I’m actually using CSS (Cascading Style Sheets) to make the changes. Basically, the HTML page remains the same, but the style sheet tells your browser where to put things and what colour, font, size, etc. to make them. So, it’s fairly easy for me to make a global change. I think I’ll play with it a bit today and see if I can’t spice it up, but I make no promises.

Most interesting about the side to side thing. I DON’T have that problem with Opera (My browser), but I do with Internet Exploder.

    I’ll look into it….
