The excitment mounts! Dylan just came downstairs and asked: “When you think about going, do you have to pee?” Gee. Do you think he’s excited?!
I had a little excitment coming home from work. Quinn, in his infinite wisdom locked the master bedroom door. It’s not one of those “easy to pick” bathroom doors either. For some reason, the family who had the house before us, had KEYED LOCKS on all the bedroom doors. So, I got a panicked phone call from Shelley telling all about how Quinn locked the door and how were we going to break in and…sigh. I’m already stressed about this….
Shelley’s turn now:
The locked door was bad enough, what I was really ticked about was 1) Quinn stood there and locked the door as I said “No don’t” – good listening skills, eh? and 2) that Ian had assured me, 2 years ago, that we had keys for all the locks in the house – NOT!!.
Anthow, Ian managed to pick the lock – great skill to have – and all is well.
The kids are excited, Ian is completely strung out and I am TIRED. Dylan came downstairs looking for a sleeping pill; Quinn is so tired from not sleeping the last 2 nights that he was out like a light. I am hoping I will will be the same, so am off to bed now!
And we do have a key anyway! (I)
But it doesn’t work right!! (S)
