This is my THIRD try at entering this log. Every time I touch my mouse it disappears. Bloody hell!
Leigh and I want to thank Ian and Shelley (et al) for the gift certificate for dinner at Flax (at Mapua). We had a great meal there last Saturday. “Oyster and muschroom soup and salmon cured in Grand Marinie” for starters. “Fish of the day and Spicy pork strips” for mains and “lemon posset (yum) and chocolate brownie” for dessert. All washed down with a Greenhough Sav blanc.
Super good. We walked the dog on the beach to work off the meal but I think a 10 km forced march is needed.
The next day we laid out three new geocaches. I’m experimenting with microcaches, 35 mm film canisters with very strong magnets glued on. They only contain a mini log book and a pencil stub. I’ll let you know how they go.
Last night we went out to the Pearce river and I did a bit of gold panning. Yes gold panning … no I’m not rich yet.
Possible new GPS game ….. GPSGames …………. any takers?
Ah ha! Scott rears his ugly head again! Well done!
You are most welcome for the dinner….you only turn FORTY once, so don’t expect it again! Well…maybe when you’re FIFTY!
What seems to be the problem with posting? Is it your computer or something up with the site?
I’ll look at that game….
I
Ugly Head …. well at lease mine has HAIR.
The dinner was smashing .. in fact it was too rich for my taste really … but VERY nice.
I have NO idea what the problem is. Twice I’ve bumped the little wheel int he mouse then poof everything is gone.
That GPS game – geodashing – I don’t quite understand it. Could we be a team – Calgary/Nelson/Hustisford – and collect points together?
Terry wonders whether he and I cold go find some points on Sunday. We sure can’t do any geocaching with all this snow on the ground.
Ter had his colonoscopy today – one small polyp sent for biopsy, but the doc said it looked like no problem.
The stuff he had to drink as a prep wasn’t nearly so bad as the stuff I had to use a couple years ago.
Yes! I’ve read the rules, we could form a team. Wanna do it?
