<sarcasm>Wow, things just keep getting better and better…</sarcasm>
Three things to report:
- An acquaintance of Dylan’s was stabbed on Friday. Apparently, he and three friends were walking from the 7-11 near our house to the Pizza Hut at the mall when three kids they had never seen before started following them. The “bad” three started taunting them and throwing pebbles at them and such. Finally, I guess, one of them punched the “good” kid in the head and a fight broke out resulting in the “good” kid getting stabbed in the back. Unbelievable! They did catch the kids, but what the hell is that about!? The “victim”, will be okay, it wasn’t very deep and didn’t hit anything…
- Another friend of Dylan’s went into the hospital last Tuesday because he woke up in the middle of the night and couldn’t move his legs. He’s still in there, but they think he just has an infection in the bones of his legs. I don’t know, but he seems to be getting better with the antibiotics…
- Now tonight, Shelley’s sister was sent to the hospital in Saskatoon (she lives in P.A). I guess she’s been sick for a couple weeks and having trouble keeping anything down and they thought it was just the flu, but a couple days ago, it seems to have triggered a migrain headache which STILL hasn’t gone away. Hopefully it’s just that, but Shelley says they sent her for a spinal tap. So, we’re waiting to see what that brings and Shel’s ready to go to Saskatoon at the drop of a hat.
So, that’s what I know. Lacrosse season is also starting up, so we need to take the kids to lacrosse evaluations every night this week, and Dylan leaves for his “SALTS” sailing trip early next week.
Fun, fun, fun!
Well what an interesting life you lead. I’m not so sure the knifing thing is such a big issue, heck we had that problem at our junior high …. not good for the kids feeling of self confidence. Perhaps Shelley will get them all stab proof vests for christmas.
How is Shelley’s sister?
I’m not THAT worried about the stabbing. The kid wasn’t hurt very bad, so I kind of assume the story got a little blown out of proportion from all the retelling before it got to me.
Shel’s sister is doing okay. They’re letting her out of the hospital tomorrow, and assuming that it’s just “a viral thing”. but, she’s going to hang around Saskatoon for a little while just to be sure…
Did they ever do a CT?
