Weather Links

Posted on October 16, 2005 by Scott

I thought this a cool little link. In addtion to the data …. that is always interesting, at the bottom is a webcam picture taken facing right towards my place of employment. About 1/3 the way up the left hand side you can see a row of buildings just behind the water. Moving left to right about 1/10 the way along you see a pink building ,actually two pink buildings. I am in the right hand building at the bottom. Look closely I’m smiling at my computer.

If you like, I can update the Nelson link to click through to that web site instead of AccuWeather. Doesn’t matter to me. I currently get Nelson weather from http://www.metservice.co.nz/default/index.php?alias=nelson, even though I redirect you to AccuWeather when you click. I have had trouble getting good weather information for Nelson from anywhere. [MetService now appears to be stuck].

There’s a pretty cool Calgary local observation site at wx.ca too, but the reason I don’t link to it is because there is no forcast information.

What do you, the users, prefer? It doesn’t matter to me. US and Canadian information is easiest to get through AccuWeather, so I might as well link directly to their site, which has forcast information. But where should I get the Nelson information?

Stick to what you have its perfect for what we need. The only interesting thing is the photo.

Every time I look at the picture, the sun is in my eyes. I’m waiting for a cloudy day to check out your “pink’ building…or maybe I should check at another time?
I also like the current weather…fun to see who’s hottest, coolest, rainiest at any given point.
