Leigh and I have just returned from a 1379 km ramble around the geocaches between Nelson, Christchurch, Reefton and home. We headed down to CHCH to drop off Sam and load of gear for his flat next year. Sam continued down south to work on his father’s vinyard (and earn some dosh) and Leigh and I looped back up the west coast. We did 33 caches along the way and had WX that ranged from 32 and howling winds to 3 and driving sleet. Nice eh! It was a grand little excusions. The highlights were the geocaches at the various and unknown (to us) gold works and coal mines along the westcoast. Some interesting history was absorbed. Reefton turned out to be a neat little town and a good time was had by all.
We are going to do our 200th cache today.
