The Calgary Flames were bumped from the playoffs last night in Game 7 by the Mighty Ducks of Anaheim. They played terribly and deserved it. I DID, however, have the pleasure of being at the game. It was fun, despite the loss.
Unfortunately it took us 2 hours to get home…while waiting for the train, we were told that “due to unforseen circumstances, the train would not be running”. Turns out someone fell between train cars and was killed, so we had to walk to a bus stop, wait and hour for the bus, take it to Chinook, and by that time, the train was running (on the arms of the system anyway) so we got home by midnight.
Fun night. Whee!!!
I agree…they played crappy…the better team won…we’re actually getting some Canadian teams on the Outdoor life Network during the playoffs. Sounds like you could have walked home faster…could have worked off those beers you had during the game, eh?
You’re a pretty big shot to have tickets to the seventh game of the series!!! I’m suitably impressed.
My number came up on the tickets. I share a third of Joan’s third of season’s tickets, and it just came around to my turn. Luck.
Speaking of luck, I bought some 50/50 draw tickets at the game…$17,000 pot…I was off by ONE NUMBER!
