First the good news. The official word is that the “official” test for varroa mite confirms my sugar roll test – the hives are clean. The powers that be may yet decide to try to irradicate the mites in the south island. I got to inspect the test strips so it looks good!
The bad news is that while chasing Sam around and rough housing, I slipped off the bed (while jumping over his computer) and badly sprained my ankle. You may make your smug remark here …….. !! It was and remains very painful and I can neither walk nor drive. Sigh … so I’m home today feeling like a bear with a sore paw.
