I Cannot Believe It

Posted on July 6, 2006July 6, 2006 by Scott

It seems amazing to me that I can badly sprain my ankle doing something so utterly daft and not one of my family gives me a hard time about it (or as we would say here “give me arseholes about it”). Have we become sensitive and respectful since I was last home .. ….I hope not (wink).

My ankle is fine thanks, the RICE treament in the first few minutes/hours/days means that I’m hobbling along gently now and improving quickly. I didPe use a walking stick for a few days. ople teased my about looking like the grand old komatua (elder in maori). A cane is a GREAT tool to have for walking, poking people, opening doors, hitting rocks ect …..

I, for one, have been out of town again, AND updating the website, so I’m sure you understand my lack of responses. We were in S’toon for the week. So, just to catch up:

    MORON!

    (Feel better?)

And as for me: I just don’t want to discuss the leap I made off a four-foot wall in Maryland, when Terry and I were driving home in mid-June. My knee is not healing. RICE be damned, age is the enemy here.
