Latest renovation news:
Starting at the bottom of the house, Shelley, ripped out the carpet in the “hot tub room” and “wine room” and painted the concrete floors a sand colour. The idea being that the hot tub look like it’s sitting on a beach. She wasn’t impressed at first and had declared the project a failure, but she did head out and buy some plants, mats and beach towels to spruce it up. Personally, I think it will look cool when done.
In the meantime, I painted ceilings throughout the lower two levels (There is very little else to paint with all the wood). I think painting ceilings is proof that there is no God (Or at least he can afford to pay some other sucker to do it). It’s done now, that’s all I can say about that. [Shelley just came in and she’s downstairs seeing if she likes it any better]
On Wednsday, we get the new carpet installed. Berber down the stairs from the kitchen, the family room, the spare room and the stairs down to the hot tub room. Guess what that means? I’ll be ripping out carpet tomorrow night. The fun never ceases…
