We have varroa. I’ve been expecting it and now my hives have it. Colleen (Leigh’s mom and my assistant bee keeper)and I did the “sugar roll” test of all the hive today and in one of them found two mites in one hive. It just means its here. The “sugar roll” means taking about 300 bees from a hive, putting them in a mason jar, coating them in icing sugar rolling the jar and then shaking out the icing sugar. I inspect the sugar through one of my microscopes. As soon as I can figure out my passwords I’ll post a couple pictures I took down the tube of the microscope. Its far from the end of the world. On a brighter note I have a NASTY head cold.
