Thanks for the update Scott. Always good to know you’re alive.
I spent the weekend wiring the basement for lights. What was there was a complete fire hazard, so I ripped out every little bit of wiring. There was one place where the wires were twisted together with electrician’s tape and jammed in up in the (sealed in) ceiling! Scary! So, it looks pretty good now. All tidy and orderly, dimmers in appropriate places, etc. Since today is mine and Shelley’s anniversary, I won’t be wiring the outlets tonight, but that’s all I have left to do (and get it inspected).
The contractor also started jack-hammering out the hot tub today. I haven’t been home, so I’m not sure how far along they got, but you can be sure the dog won’t be happy … or Shelley …Â I’ll take pictures.
Quinn and I went for a fly in a Cessna 172N on Saturday night. It was actually this plane. We gave the ride to Quinn as a birthday present and were just waiting for a good day to do it. I’ll have to get some pictures up. I THINK he enjoyed it – he was a little nervous (understandably) — but I’d go again — not sure about Quinn! It was fun! We went from Springbank out to Canmore, back over the city, flew south (couldn’t go east of MacLeod Trail as that’s the international airport’s flight path), buzzed downtown a couple times, out to Bragg Creek and back to Springbank.
Nothing else to report. No more progress on my plane for a while. The new bath tub is supposed to be in on the 6th so I’ll be working the second bathroom. Whee!!!
Good work on the basement Ian but do not forget to finish, Balance and go fly your new plane.
