Anti-Climactic Electrical Inspection

Posted on July 9, 2007 by Ian

I had everything ready — made sure there was no bare wire sticking out from beneath the wire grommet thingies, minimum separation of communication and power wires, smoke detector location, minimum 6 inches of wiring inside the boxes, etc, etc, etc.  Did the inspector dude even LOOK at anything?  Nope.  Came in, scanned the room, signed off and left.  5 minutes — TOPS.  Bah.  I guess I should be grateful it passed so easily.  There must not have been any red flags indicating a deeper inspection is required.  Ah well, it’s clear to cover with drywall now.
