Today we drove Dylan down to Lethbridge and left him there in his res room to sink or swim. Classes don’t actually start until Wednesday, so he has a little time to get oriented. He has a few friends down there too which may or may not be a good thing. It waits to be seen.
The room he has is actually quite nice. Not your standard dorm rooms, but more like a floor of big apartments, each with four individual bedrooms and a kitchen and living area. So he can get some privacy when he wants it, and can do some of his own cooking. Looked okay to me!
Anyway, he’s there and he’s all set up. What else can we do?
I have no reports yet!   😉
Ah try to be positive. He’s a nice young man, very bright socialble and I think he knows he has to get to work.
He’ll be fine …. not everyone gets going at uni the first year eh Ian?
Oh absolutely, and he’s definitely INTENDING to take it seriously. I just hope he can keep strike a decent balance between having fun (which is DEFINITELY part of the experience) and taking it reasonable seriously. In fact, we worry a little that he’ll take it TOO seriously.
I’m sure he’ll find a balance.
