Now that’s been a while! I’ve probably lost any audience I MAY have had! Oh well, life chugs on.
The last couple weeks have been HELL at work. I’ve been spearheading a project to make our next ASIC (Application Specific Integrated Circuit). A “chip”. It’ll be fun once we start, but trying to get everything together to get the ball rolling has been hell. Contractors, statements of work, justifications, project plans, budgets, yadda yadda yadda…I’ve pushed more documents and had more meetings in the last 2 months than in my entire work career before!
Now on to details of what has been going on:
Dylan placed second in “Provincial B Double Mini-Trampoline” at a meet in Edmonton last weekend. To explain, it goes Provincial “C”, Provincial “B”, Provincial “A”, then on to the national levels. He just moved up to “B” this year and was very relaxed about the competition. He’s doing very well.
After arriving in Edmonton, and while unpacking the car, what do I notice? A big bulge on the side of one of my tires. Yikes. Pretty lucky it didn’t blow on the way up. Obviously, I had the tire (both rear tires actually) replaced. So, what happens this weekend. The other set of tires has a flat. Sidewall was wrecked. BAH! So all four tires were replaced inside a week. I actually feel better about Shelley driving it now. The tires were all kind of suspect.
My Christmas Concert (“Paul and Friends” – lame name) goes in two weeks. Last time we made the church $7000 dispite being a completely secular thing. The basic idea is that we use the church P.A. system, and they get the proceeds. We’ll see how it goes this time. I actually feel pretty unprepared (yes, I sing a play many songs) but I did last time too and it went off without much of a hitch.
Not much else to say, we’re having Warren, Sue, Len and Zenya over for dinner tonight and I have to finish getting prepared…I’ll try to make more frequent updates, but as most of you know, it’s hard. I haven’t seen an update on Scott’s in QUITE a while…July 15th in fact!
